This River can be separated into two sections. The upper section is a 5.9 mile run. The upper part of this river would be a Class 1-2. The lower section is a 7.4 mile run, disappearing into an abandoned mining tunnel.

Put in: To the Upper Section take Highway 52 West from Dahlonega for 6 miles to the bridge. To the Lower Section, follow Highway 9 from Dahlonega for 4 miles.

Take out: Follow Highway 9 for 1.5 miles to Old Highway 9 East. Turn Left and follow Old 9 East 4 miles to Auraria. Turn Right on Castleberry Bridge Road and go 1 mile to the bridge
