The Ocoee River is famous for
the site of the 1996 Olympic white water events. Take a trip down
the Ocoee River where many world wide famous olympic gold medallists
kayaked thru this white water waves. Stop by the Ocoee River White
Water Center.
The middle section of the Ocoee
River is a class III-IV river, with the entrance rapid Grumpy's,
a class IV rapid, instantly as soon as you get in the river, you
will be on your way to a very adventurous ride. The upper section
of the Ocoee River (the 1996 olympic section) is a class IV -V.
With over a mile of contentions rapids thru the Olympic Section
you will experience first hand what the boaters come back year
after year for. Both sections of the Ocoee River is suitable for
any one 12 or older.
The Nantahala River sits in one
of the most beautiful gorges in Western North Carolina. Enjoy a
more peaceful ride thru the gorge while observing the pristine
beauty. On the Nantahala River you have 2 options, you can get
a guided boat, or you can "Tote and Float", an option
that many take to guide the river their self. The Nantahala River
is suitable for anyone over 60 pounds.
