A Great Source of The Best in the Mountains...

The leaves near the Highlander Gallery are in prime color this week and should continue for the next week or more.  We have been living in these mountains for a long time, and have photographed many falls.  It seems this year we are getting color later than normal.  That could be due to all the rain we had this year as well as it is just now getting colder, last week it was in the 80's...not your normal fall weather.

If you are looking to travel to see color, I suggest that you click on our Fall Leaf Watch below to find information on the areas you are looking to travel to.

4th Annual "Of Time and the River"
Asheville, North Carolina
4th Annual "Of Time and the River"
Friday Night Opening are $75. each
Saturday & Sunday Free to the Public for Purchasing and Viewing

Asheville's premier landscape painters celebrate the French Broad River's rise from polluted obscurity to the defining element of the South's most exciting city at Of Time and the River IV-the Annual Art Show and Gala to Benefit RiverLink.

This event is held at the mysterious Zealandia Castle, the historic 1908 Tudor Revival mansion on Beaucatcher Mountain overlooking the city of Asheville. This event grew out of a shared joy that binds artists, activists, river enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs in connecting people to the French Broad River.

This organization is great to work with. They continue to achieve positive results for the river." John Mac Kah, painter and show curator.

The art will be available for free purchase and free public viewing on Saturday, Oct 28 & Sunday, Oct 29 from 11am until 5pm.
