Whichever course you choose you are sure to enjoy the newest outdoor adventure to hit the US. All our courses offer a soaring and gliding experience naturally fueled by a gradual drop in elevation. All trips offer fully guided tours with 2 or more Rangers on at least 10 zips, 4 bridges beginning with a training course at each location.

Zip Line Canopy Tours in the Mountains

Enjoy a soaring and gliding experience naturally fueled by a gradual elevation change at Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours (NGCT). It takes limited energy to participate and is not designed to scare with big drops as much as excite with smooth gliding. If you have enjoyed the Canopy Tour at NGCT, come back for more zips and fun. We have added to the canopy tour to include platforms that with Clingman's Dome, Fontana Lake and waterfall views. Travel out to the point for the highest platform, then on to the highest point in a tree with unbelievable views. One more zip takes you to a bridge and short hike to the final 2 zips.

Three-hour experience gives you over 1/2 mile of air time with...
• 8 Aerial Bridges
• 13 zip line sections alternating between slope side, trees, & elevated platforms
• A flight into our Eagles Perch, Slingshot, & Elevated Overlook stations.  In 2012 two new zips take you out to the point with Lake and waterfall views!
• Over 20 scen ic and unspoiled acres of flying area all within the heavily wooded and scenic setting of the Nantahala Gorge and featured in National Geographic Traveler, Country Living, & The Today Show.

More than a zip line ride, NGCT takes you through multiple ecosystems, past hemlocks, into hardwoods, and through a deciduous forest packed with native flowering plants such as mountain laurel, dogwood, rhododendron, giant Frazier magnolia, rare umbrella magnolia, silver bells and many more. Your canopy ranger will point out these natural features and will also share with you some of the cultural history of the gorge.

Chattooga Ridge Canopy Tours...A Zip Through the Trees & Over Academy Lake

Enjoy a soaring and gliding experience naturally fueled by a gradual elevation change in Upstate Long Creek, SC. It takes limited energy to participate and is not designed to scare with big drops as much as excite with smooth gliding treetop views. Chattooga Ridge Canopy Tours opened early March, 2010 and is the first zipline/canopy tour facility in the area.

This Zipline Canopy experience gives you a three-hour experience, a 1/2 mile of air time with...
• Hoist up onto our Triceratops platform to start the canopy tour
• 4 bridges
• 10 zip line sections between trees and elevated platforms
• 4 Academy Lake crossings
• Over 9 scenic and historic acres of flying area all within the 20 acre setting.

Pigeon River Canopy Tours...A Zip Over the Big Pigeon River

Enjoy a soaring and gliding experience naturally fueled by a gradual elevation change in the Smoky Mountains of TN. Pigeon River Canopy Tours opened in May, 2010 and is the only zipline/canopy tour that crosses over the Pigeon River. This new attraction in the Asheville, Knoxville, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg area includes zips that fly you beside, above and across the Pigeon River and back to your starting point at heights up to 120 feet above the river. Numerous stair climbs are required and can be strenuous. Tours run rain or shine. Combine this with a Pigeon River rafting trip and/or Jeep® tour for a full day of activities.

This canopy tour takes visitors deep into the Smoky Mountain Creek Gorge exposing a lush forest of ferns, wildflowers, towering trees, rock cliffs,cascading waterfalls, and moss covered boulder gardens. • 12 zipline sections between elevated platforms & treetop decks • 4 sky bridges • The “Cliff Hanger” platform perched on a 100’ rock cliff • Scenic Smoky Mountain Creek cascades • 2 Pigeon River crossings including the Highline,a 1200' long & 120' high final zip • Over 15 scenic and historic acres of flying area.

Ocoee River Canopy Tours...Inspired by the Polk Co. Copper Mines

For those headed to the Ocoee River this summer, you can now experience the adventure of flying on zip lines. First on the list is a wooded and tree based canopy tour with 9 zip line sections and three swinging sky bridges that highlight the vast history and beauty of this once barren landscape. Canopy Rangers will share both the history and the wonder of the recovery of this area from red clay back to deep green forest.

This three-hour experience gives you over 1/2 mile of air time with:
• 3 Sky Bridges
• 9 zip line sections alternating between trees and elevated platforms
• A Spectacular three level platform with long range views of the Big Frog Wilderness

Asheville Zipline Canopy Tours...Flying High in Asheville, NC

Asheville, North Carolina is known for its beautiful and vibrant downtown accented by the beautiful outdoor surroundings. Now you can experience all this in one spot with Asheville Zipline Canopy Adventures!

This new adventure within the city limits is just one mile from the heart of downtown. The region’s first urban canopy adventure. The Asheville course is similar to our other locations with a design of progressively increasing heights and lengths. This allows "flyers" the opportunity to build confidence before experiencing the big heights or longer lines.

What makes this course different from our and other courses in the region is this is the region's first urban canopy adventure. Just minutes from downtown, "flyers" will see scenic mountain views and be flying through tree-lined corridors as well as enjoy spectacular views of the Asheville skyline. The course is adjacent to the Crowne Plaza Resort on 125 acres. After ground school you'll gain elevation to start the canopy adventure that includes 10 zipline sections, nine treetop platforms, three adventure tower platforms, three sky bridges, and ziplines from several hundred feet long to almost 1200 feet long. You'll reach heights of more than 70 feet and speeds of about 35 or 40 miles per hour.

Additional Information...

All flyers will need to arrive wearing collared shirts, longer shorts or cropped pants and require closed toed shoes. Harness seats will wrap around your upper thigh, shoulders, and waist so shirts and pants should cover modestly. Long hair must be tied back and secured and please leave your cell phones in the car.

All flyers must be in reasonably good physical condition. No women who are pregnant. Chronic back or shoulder injuries should consult a physician. No hard or soft casts. Flyers must be able to raise their arms over head to self regulate speed and braking. Canopy Rangers will provide safety instruction & back-up systems.

Age/Weight range: 10 years and 70 lbs to 250 lbs. Weight variations effect momentum when zipping. Canopy Rangers will provide instruction & back-up systems.
