Check out three great places for Entertainment in the Mountains
It’s late in the day, the sun’s rays are slowly departing. These are the quiet times of dusk, when light moves into shadows and shadows slip quietly into darkness. It’s the peace and quiet that the mountains share so generously with us that draws our senses nearer to the natural life.
From the silence we can almost hear the internal working of our own body, and our 5 senses are more alive than ever. The air is sweet while a light breeze brushes across your cheek. A cascading creek captures your attention as it races across river stone. A whippoorwill sings its serenade as the wind rustles the leaves in the trees. Then suddenly out of nowhere a sound arises like a gale of wind, almost from a distant as it rushes by you on an uncharted journey, the air is filled with the calls of the cicada's song.
Such are the sounds of the night, a mountain symphony in nature, an orchestra primeval in the key of life. Nature entertains us when we’re in the rawness of mountain country, yet there are other sounds, sights and cultural wonders in the mountains. It’s the people of the mountains and visitors from distance places who bring a living art to this world of high ridges and deep forest of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
